Should the "Far Lands" be brought back to Minecraft?

The Far Lands were an area in the Minecraft world that were the "edge" of the infinite map generater. The far lands start at a X/Z coordinate of 12,550,821 (where prior to beta 1.8 the game generated distorted terrain.) The distorted terrain was removed in beta 1.8, instead the game began generating an endless ocean from X/Z 12,550,821 to ∞. In all versions the game begins generating fake chunks at X/Z 3.0 × 10^7. Lighting also stops working at 3.0 × 10^7. If a player walks onto a fake chunk they'll fall through it into the void. Be for beta 1.8 the far lands lagged very badly. From 1.8 on they no longer lag. From infdev to the Halloween update, the world ends at 3.2 × 10^7. Walking off the edge would cause you to get stuck rather then fall off. | The hard limit where chunks are overwritten is at X/Z of ±34,359,738,368, which is about 23% of the distance from the Earth to the Sun. At X/Z of ±2,147,483,648, (1/16th of the former distance?) , item positions, mob pathfinding and other things using 32-bit integers will overflow and act weird, usually resulting in Minecraft crashing.^1 At X/Z ± 1.798 × 10^308, the position of the player will overflow. Before beta 1.8, the far lands had severe lag, causing slower computers to crash. Another well-known feature of the old far lands was the map taking longer to update according to the player's location. This, however, wasn't part of the far lands, the farther the player gets from spawn the longer the map takes to update, however it's only noticeable when the player gets near the far lands. Weather isn't affected by the far lands directly but is by their terrain. Lightning will hit the top of the map but will be invisible & won't cause fire. Rain particles will be black, snow will fall but not create snow block slices. As of beta 1.6, these affects are only in the far lands.

As I stated above, in beta 1.8 the distorted terrain no longer generated in the far lands, just an endless ocean. The terrain wasn't removed on purpose, it disappeared when the terrain generater was changed in beta 1.8. Like most people, I believe that the far lands distorted terrain should be added back. The terrain looks cooler than ocean & I think Notch should strongly consider adding it back in a near update. The funny looking terrain made the far lands worth melting your computer for. Endless ocean isn't.

Making my Gen V OU Team

This is my thought process behind my current Generation Five OverUsed team, hope you don't trololololol me!

1. Rotom-Wash/Levitate/@ Choice Scarf
Timid/SpA: 252/SpD: 4/Sp: 252
  • Volt Switch
  • Hydro Pump
  • Hidden Power (Ice)
  • Trick
My reasoning for this one is I need something to scout-out (see) what my foe's lead is, once Rotom here finds that out, he handles it, he takes it out, cripples it, or switches out to some one who can kill it. He's also an exceptionable revenge killer.

2. Torkoal/White Smoke/@ Leftovers
Relaxed/HP: 252/D: 252/SpD: 4
  • Stealth Rock
  • Rapid Spin
  • Lava Plume
  • Explosion
When I was creating my team, I needed a rapid spinner, so I used Starmie. Then, while I was looking for a stealth rocker, I thought, "Why not kill two birds with one stone & have my stealth rocker rapid spin as well?" The Pokemon that fit the bill perfectly was Torkoal. Stealth rock is always important, so is rapid spin. Lava plume hits annoying Ferrothorns for super-effective damage, & explosion is so you can get it off your line-up after the foe's entry hazard Pokemon has been KO'ed & you've rapid spinned away the hazards.

3. Gliscor/Poison Heal/@ Toxic Orb
Impish/HP: 252/D: 184/Sp: 72
  • Toxic
  • Ice Fang
  • Earthquake
  • Protect
Gliscor is one of, if not (with Poison Heal) the best defensive wall in the game. Toxic poisons other foes. Ice fang takes care of those annoying dragons, & protect allows you to set up poisen heal without any damage first.

4. Salamence/Intimidate/@ Leftovers
Naive/A: 252/SpA: 4/Sp: 252
  • Dragon Dance
  • Dragon Claw
  • Earthquake
  • Fire Blast
Mence is a really good sweeper. Dragon dance boost attack & speed, & since there's no move that boost special attack, attack & speed, this is as close as we're gonna get. Outrage can replace dragon claw if you want, I just don't like the confusion. Earthquake & fire blast are there for coverage reasons.

5. Latios/Levitate/@ Choice Specs
Timid/HP: 4/SpA: 252/Sp: 252
  • Dragon Pulse
  • Surf
  • Hidden Power (Fire)
  • Psyshock
Next to Deoxys-Attack (uber,) Latios is the best special attacker in the game. Dragon pulse & psyshock are powerful STAB moves. Surf hits stuff hard, & HP fire hits annoying Ferrothorns.
With the speed invested, this is like a special Salamence.

6. Electivire/Motor Drive/@ Expert Belt
Mild/A: 40/SpA: 252/Sp: 216
  • Thunderbolt
  • Cross Chop
  • Hidden Power (Ice)
  • Earthquake
E-vire is a very good "glue" Pokemon because of its amazing type coverage. Thunderbolt is STAB. Cross Chop hits normal walls. HP ice hits dragons, & Earthquake hits other electric types.
